In a survey of 12,500 people, Facebook has shared insights into emerging trends in eCommerce and digital engagement. Looking at the UK data, let’s get right into the findings that matter most to us Restless Marketers.

• 80% of consumers are actively looking for convenience:
As we increasingly seek out and pay for products and solutions to simplify our lives, brands have new opportunities to play a truly meaningful role in people’s lives.

• 50% say social media has allowed them to deepen relationships with brands:
We are increasingly looking to feel connected to brands through immersive and interactive experiences.

• 53% are members of an online community:
We’re building real communities that cannot be found on a map. Online communities are growing in importance, and 38% are open to brands contributing to their online communities.

• 88% believe technology and social media has made it easier for people to start a new business:
