TikTok takes another step towards integrated eCommerce with their Shopify partnership. Shopify merchants will be able to promote their products directly through the app.
The feature will have a dedicated in-app shop front, similar to Instagram’s Shop.
Shopify explains: “Shopify merchants with a TikTok For Business account will soon be able to add a shopping tab to their TikTok profiles and sync their product catalogues to create a mini-storefront that links directly to their online store for checkout.”
Despite being relatively new compared to other social platforms, TikTok’s rise to popularity with short, ‘snackable’ videos provides huge potential for eCommerce. With this new update, it will be even easier for Shopify merchants to integrate their products, which is great for businesses and marketers.
