Previously you could only go live with one other person, but Instagram’s new ‘Live Rooms’ feature now lets up to four people go live at once.
Instagram hopes this will encourage creators to collaborate on projects such as talk shows, podcasts or “jam sessions”. It comes as no surprise, since Clubhouse is thriving with live audio chat rooms – although Instagram requires users to be on camera.
Going live with more people means the followers of each participant will receive a notification – helping Instagram attract more viewers.
