Fortnite Hosts Virtual Film Festival | Vouch Global

Fortnight hosted another virtual event on Saturday, a 24-hour film festival. The video game allowed players to watch a collection of film shorts in its non-violent area, Party Royale.

The event, ‘Short Nite’, featured 11 acclaimed animated short films from around the world – with some even nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. The film shorts played on repeat for 24 hours, allowing players to drop in and drop out.

Fortnite previously hosted live virtual concerts with Marshmello in 2019 and Travis Scott in 2020, which received in 10 and 12 million + views, respectively.

With live virtual events soaring in lockdown, it will be interesting to see how many views the gaming platform received this time around. Did you join the party?
