Tweets In 4K

Twitter has been busy innovating this year to help keep their 187 million active users engaged. The most recent development was voice DM’s, so what could possibly be next?

The social platform are now testing new ways to display images in tweet timelines, which would see full images shown in tweets instead of cropped previews.

On the plus side, users will be able to display images, such as art and photography in the highest quality – although it will only work for single images. On the down side, it will remove the ability to post ‘open for a surprise’ tweets.

This update will certainly please the users who have complained about image quality on the platform in the past, and provide more rivalry for photo-led platforms like Instagram and Pinterest.
