With this year being like no other, the creative industry has had to get that ‘little more’ creative when it comes to recognisable Christmas campaigns, and Lucky Generals, the advertising agency for Amazon, have done just that.
The No.1 online retailer’s new TV campaign references the many cancelled events throughout the year, big and small. Whilst this has been upsetting for many, the advert focuses on how dreams can come true in a different way and, by adapting to our circumstances, the show can go on.
A young ballerina, who was set to be the big star of their upcoming show, puts on a performance for her community after her show was cancelled due to the pandemic. The advert shows only one product and focuses on bringing communities together during this time, and how we are all in this together.
This Christmas ad certainly gets a round of applause from us and we can’t wait to see what rivals John Lewis will bring to the plate this year.
